The Manchester United star had surgery on a troublesome ankle injury following Euro 2008 and is likely to miss the first six weeks of the new Premier League season.

Speaking about Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury Sir Alex Ferguson said: “Cristiano has been doing excellently. He is well ahead of schedule. The specialist was surprised the condition he was in.”

The United manager also described his midfielder’s current condition and admitted he was pleased by his progress. He revealed: “There has been no problem, his progress has been great. He has never missed a session morning or afternoon. We are pencilling him in for the beginning of October.”

At the STK dinner last night Paris Hilton apparently made a move on Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Every girl in the club was checking [Cristiano] out, but Paris couldn’t take her eyes off him,” a spy told the Daily Mail. “The moment he arrived, she went over to his private table.”
“At one point, she pushed her chest together and made a point of trying to snuggle up against him.”

According to “The Times of India” the portugues soccer star dumped his model girlfriend Nereida Gallardo. But Nereida denies the rumors:

“This is all nonsense. I spoke to him today, like always. We are together. He told me he loves me and I him,” she said while rejecting reports about their breakup.

Ronaldo, recovering from surgery on his injured ankle, was pictured smooching with Nereida in Sardinia last month.
